Overview
Viessmann Generations Group is the investment group of the Viessmann family, whose heating business dates back to Johann Viessmann's 1917 workshop in Hof. After Viessmann Climate Solutions was combined with Carrier Global in 2023, CEO Max Viessmann, the fourth generation, launched the Viessmann Generations Group in 2024; it remains one of Carrier's largest private shareholders. It invests through majority platforms (grid infrastructure, district heating pipes and stations, clean and cold room solutions in the US and EU), minority stakes alongside partners such as KKR, EQT, Armira and ATHOS, generational assets (real estate, forestry, agriculture and the Munich asset manager FGTC Investment), early-stage investing through Vito Ventures, and philanthropy through the Viessmann Foundation. Its thematic fields include greenhouse gases, air and water quality, food, health and well-being, education and democratic values.
