Overview
Ananda Impact Ventures was started by Florian Erber and Johannes Weber after a 2009 search for early-stage companies tackling social challenges, and describes itself as Germany's first impact investment fund with a pan-European scope. Funds I (2009) and II (2013) followed a venture-philanthropy approach; from Fund III (2018) it moved to impact venture capital, and Fund IV (€108 million, 2022) was backed by the EIF, KfW Capital and Investcorp-Tages. Fund V had a €73 million first close in 2026 against a €50 million target, and the firm manages about €270 million across five funds. The manager, Ananda Ventures GmbH in Munich, is a registered AIFM under section 2(4) KAGB.
