ABOUT

Revent is a Berlin venture capital firm (Revent Capital GmbH) launched in 2021 by Otto Birnbaum and Dr. Lauren Lentz. It invests from day 0 in Europe and the US in three areas: an abundant physical world (energy, automation, mobility, compute, critical materials), human flourishing (health, knowledge, financial security) and AI that serves society, with initial investments of EUR 1–3m. Its Fund II of EUR 100m, announced in April 2025, is backed by the Otto Group, Goldbeck, Wepa, Arendt Oetker, European founders and an increased commitment from the European Investment Fund. It assesses investments with its own 'Real Value Framework' estimating value created for society.

INVESTMENT THESIS

Founders with a radically optimistic vision and 'dual ambition' to build companies that are both big and important: an abundant physical world; human flourishing; AI to serve society. From Day 0, Europe and the US, EUR 1–3m initial investment; targets companies that can generate >EUR 100m per year of value for society and >EUR 100m revenue within 6–8 years (Real Value Framework).
