Overview

Capital Export is an independent, AMF-authorised management company of professional private equity funds (FPCI), with offices in Lyon and Paris. It invests €10–20M per deal, including follow-on acquisitions, as majority or minority shareholder in French B2B SMEs and mid-caps with revenue of up to €100M and distinctive technical know-how, through management buyouts, owner buyouts and growth capital, and supports their international expansion and acquisitions abroad. Its subscribers are institutional investors, industrial families and executives, and regional banks; about 80% of its holdings are located in towns of fewer than 10,000 inhabitants.

Investment thesis

Profitable French B2B companies with differentiating products or services and an international ambition, typically exporting half or more of their revenue; transfers to managers (MBO/MBI/BIMBO), owner liquidity transactions and acquisition financing; €10–20M per company including build-ups, with co-investment offered to subscribers.
