Mar Océana Venture Capital Investments SGEIC was registered with the CNMV in January 2022 as the first fund manager based in Cádiz. By October 2023 it operated three registered vehicles — Gades Sports Technology Industry FCRE (promoted with Cádiz C.F.), Mar Océana Scale Up Market FCRE and Mar Océana Smart Agrifood FCRE (€25M target, 10–20 agrifood startups) — and had taken over management of Univen Capital SCR-Pyme, with reported assets under management above €85M. In 2026 Andalucía TRADE, the Junta de Andalucía agency, named it manager of its Fondo Start Up (€12.12M, 25–30 pre-seed and seed companies, investment period to 31 December 2030); as of October 2026 the CNMV register lists no funds or companies under its management.
