Overview
Jezby Ventures is an investment company created and owned by Octave Klaba, founder of OVHcloud; it was registered in Roubaix in June 2020. In April 2021 the Paris Commercial Court chose Octave Klaba's takeover offer for cloud-PC company Blade (Shadow), with a €5 million purchase price, 15% of the capital for employees and a proposed €32 million investment envelope. In June 2023 Klaba announced that Synfonium, 75% owned by Deep Code and Jezby Ventures and 25% by Caisse des Dépôts, would acquire 100% of search engine Qwant and of Shadow. Its website lists five fields (SaaS, IaaS and PaaS, digital training, renewable energy and music production) and about fifteen ventures it backs, including C12 Quantum Electronics, Lettria, api.video, PowerZ, Simplon and Poweend.
Investment thesis
Supports disruptive initiatives in five areas of digital transformation — sovereign SaaS, cloud infrastructure and platforms (IaaS & PaaS), inclusive digital training, renewable energy built on European industrial technology, and industrialised music production — with an 'ecosystem, not a portfolio' approach.
